KEEPING THE FOCUS ON DRIVING

MENTAL FITNESS

Traffic safety is an issue that is on the agenda in every part of the world since the invention of cars. There are dozens of points to be considered while driving a vehicle. Undoubtedly, one of the most basic and perhaps the most important of these items is keeping the focus on driving.

Although there has been a decrease in accidents caused by driver error with the development of technology, studies and reports show that distraction still plays a huge role in traffic accidents. In this article, we will share with you the causes of attention deficit and ways to prevent distraction while driving.

Driving is one of the most useful skills in the world.

Before you start driving, however, you must remember that it is a privilege, not a right, and learn how to be a responsible driver before turning the ignition on. All the rules and regulations about driving may seem insurmountable, but if you take it step by step, you'll be the master of the road in no time. Keep reading to learn how to keep your focus on driving.

KEEPING THE FOCUS

There can be dozens of factors that distract drivers in traffic, and every driver can experience distraction, no matter how experienced. Factors such as fast-flowing traffic, following the movements of other drivers, and the atmosphere inside the vehicle can affect the driving quality. When drivers start to experience distraction, they may start to miss traffic signs and not be able to follow traffic. Drivers on the road need to be fully focused on every ride to have a safe journey.

Before getting behind the wheel, both your body and your car need to be ready for the road. Tires, engine, wipers, air conditioning… It's a good idea to check these important parts of your vehicle before you set off! You can take precautions against problems that you did not know existed by doing this. This will help you not to lose focus while driving.

When you get in your car, adjust your seat, make sure you can easily reach the pedals and see the road. Check your rearview and side mirrors and make the necessary adjustments. Make sure you have a good view of the cars on either side of you and behind you. Doing this before driving, not while driving, will keep you focused and safe. Fasten your seat belt. Look at the instrument panel of the vehicle. Make sure that the vehicle is ready to be driven and that no warning lamps are illuminated.

You should keep your focus on the driving itself.

You can’t keep your focus when you’re tired. Driving without getting enough sleep endangers the safety of you, your loved ones, and other individuals in traffic. If you feel sleepy while driving, park your vehicle in a suitable place and sleep for a short time. Taking a break every 2-3 hours will not only help you rest and meet your needs but also help you focus while driving.

While driving, avoid using a mobile phone, eating, drinking, and dealing with the devices or parts inside the vehicle. During rest stops, you can consume stimulating drinks such as tea and coffee in moderate portions. Use sunglasses if the weather is sunny.

Keep the temperature inside the vehicle at a comfortable level. Warm temperatures can make you drowsy, which is the last thing you want when you’re trying to focus on the road. Rolled-down windows will also help you not to lose your focus.

Secure everything in the car or prevent them from moving around. It can be pretty hard to concentrate on the road while things are flying around in your car. Also, remove distractions from your car.

Of course, music is a must for every pleasant car journey! We recommend that you do not neglect to prepare your playlist or discover beautiful playlists to listen to on your journey before you set off!

How can driving help reduce your stress levels?

'Picture a man who is tired of the stress of his business life and the anxiety caused by daily problems. Without even taking a suitcase, he walks out of the door and jumps into his car. Wearing comfortable clothes and shoes, the music playing on his favorite radio channel rises, and a journey begins in the darkness of the night as if it will last forever…'

This is a scene that can be pictured by everyone as clearly as a movie scene. Because all of us, from time to time, get overwhelmed by the daily routine and troubles, and want to get on the road to go on a long journey. This is one of the advantages and conveniences of owning a car. Being able to hit the road freely and unplanned…

We think, driving a car can sometimes be better than anything.

Let's face it, owning a car has disadvantages in life such as traffic stress, parking problems, dealing with sloppy drivers, and expenses that need to be taken care of. However, it is possible to turn these disadvantages into advantages. For example, paying attention to the methods of staying calm at the wheel can help every driver. You can find many examples of these methods in our mental fitness blog, you should check it out if you haven’t already. It should not be forgotten that we are not the only driver in heavy traffic. Driving in city traffic in daily life sometimes makes you forget the joy of being a driver. However, for some people, driving is not a necessity, it is a pleasure.

It is not difficult at all to have a safe and trouble-free journey while enjoying the road. The important thing is that the driver, who is responsible for the safety of the vehicle and everyone in the vehicle, does not neglect the traffic rules and pays attention to the road. Passion of driving

A passion is defined as a strong inclination toward an activity that individuals like or even love. “Everything in life is somewhere else, and you get there in a car.” This quote explains the freedom a car can give, perfectly. As KO-racer team, we value our freedom therefore we love our cars. It should always be remembered that sometimes traveling offers a feeling of freedom that will allow you to leave all your troubles behind. When you get into your car, you will instantly feel secure. There are psychological reasons behind this, the car is your own space, your bubble for being yourself. Even thunder can’t hurt you while you are in your roaring cage with wheels. Once you get in, you turn your music on and start to feel the rhythm. You feel the power of the engine through your bones. You know you will be controlling that power with your right foot. You move it and a very exciting journey begins.
