Founded by Karim Ojjeh, a racing driver who has a series of victories, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, KO-RACER is a sportswear brand INSPIRED BY RACING. Designed with the attention to details.

Growing up, my first encounter with motor racing was during the summer of 1979 or 1980. I was 14 or 15 at the time, on vacation in Spain, playing by the pool. Someone called me in to watch a car race on television that featured TAG on one of the cars. The person, in an affirmative tone, asked whether it was our car racing around the circuit, as our family business was named TAG and it was prominent on the car but I did not know anything about it.


It was, of course, our family’s first contact, via Williams Grand Prix, in Formula One. Fast forward to 1992, by which time the family had ended its relationship with Williams and started a new relationship with McLaren. They were very successful partnerships, winning a number of Constructors' and Drivers' Championships with both teams.


I had just finished law school and wanted to know what it was like to be in the mindset of a racing driver. I took my wife to Laguna Seca in California for a three day introductory course to racing. I will never forget how physically and mentally drained I was after a day of driving on the circuit, learning how to brake, taking the apex, accelerate …etc.My wife’s racing car experience ended there and then! Now we come to the close of 2015. I have just finished my fourth season in the Blancpain Endurance Series, driving a GT3 race car – in the meantime I completed three seasons in Formula Palmer Audi, finishing third in the Championship in 2004, and seven seasons in the Le Mans Series winning both, in 2011, the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans and LMS Drivers' Championship in LMP2.


Why this new adventure? I had asked my helmet designer to come up with a design using my initials. The logo was so “racing”, intriguing, strong, motivating that I decided to have a couple of t-shirts made with the logo positioned above the chest. I showed it to my wife, who, to my complete surprise, genuinely loved it. So there came the idea: why not produce a very niche product for “racers/drivers” that authentically represents their “own” individual love of driving and racing cars? A product that represents “the racer, the driver” within and not a product that represents an extension of another brand. Thus, the story begins – you, the racer, the driver. Welcome aboard.
